At Calvary Chapel we believe in the power of prayer.  We believe that we're able to find strength for trying times by being in fellowship with the Lord.  We believe that our Lord hears our prayers and desires to minister to us in whatever the situation may be.  Isaiah 56:7 tells us that the house of the Lord shall be a house of prayer. James 5:14-16 tells us that if someone is sick that they should seek out prayer and that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  As Christians we need to be willing to both seek out prayer when we are in the midst of our daily trials and troubles and to nurture a strong prayer life of our own to prepare us for the days to come.
