Ryan

After spending most of his childhood and early adult life in Texas, God moved Ryan to Iowa in the summer of 2011. He was invited to Calvary Community Church by a friend that fall and was blessed by the solid Biblical teaching and community of believers. He quickly got involved with the young adults group and began serving the body in various ways (teaching Sunday school, cleaning, helping with the media ministry, etc.)

When God opened the door for Ryan to lead the Young Adults group in 2014 (along with his wife, Bekah), he was eager to teach the Word and provide a fun and encouraging atmosphere for the college and career group at Calvary CC!

Ryan currently works as an independent insurance agent with the desire to eventually be in full time ministry. He and his wife, Bekah, have been married since 2014 and have an adorable daughter, Lydia

BEKAH

Bekah began attending CCCR with her family in April of 2010 and was grateful to find such an amazing body of believers. The Lord has given her a passion for music and a desire to use the talents He’s given her to praise and worship His name. After it was clear that the Lord was leading her to make CCCR her home church, she offered to come alongside the worship ministry and use the musical skills God has given her to serve the body. She served under Jeremy’s leadership for several months and then became the worship leader in February 2011. God has continued to faithfully add members to the worship team, and it’s been a blessing to lead the body in praise and song each week.

Blending together classic hymns and modern worship songs, it’s her goal to encourage the church to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23-24) Psalm 34:3 says, “O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.” That is the heart of the worship team at CCCR!

Bekah met her husband, Ryan, at CCCR in the fall of 2011. Noticing their common goals and love for the Lord and His Word, they became friends while working together in ministry. As the Lord began drawing their hearts together, they courted for several months and then were married on September 13th, 2014. They now have an adorable daughter, Lydia. They enjoy serving the Lord together as a family!
