Josh & Althea Wright

Josh and Althea were married in 2020 and currently have a daughter, Genevieve. Josh has been attending Calvary since 2019, after moving to Iowa from Ohio for work. Josh went to college in Indiana for Mechanical Engineering and is now working as a Systems Engineer here in Cedar Rapids. Apart from work, he loves spending his time studying creation science, the ancient Hebrew language, and other biblical studies. He also loves being outdoors and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Althea has been attending Calvary since 2018 and has lived in IA most of her life. She was homeschooled and grew up in the country with her parents and 4 younger siblings. Before meeting Josh, she was a part of short term missions and studied trauma healing through the American Bible Society. Althea is a full time stay at home mom and loves taking care of her daughter and home. She also loves the outdoors, cozy coffee shops, and spending time with her friends and family.

Josh and Althea met about a year and a half after Althea started attending CCC CR, in the young adults bible study that existed at that time. They dated for several months and got married on September 7, 2020. Soon after, God blessed them with their daughter, Genevieve, born on January 2, 2022. Josh and Althea both love to serve and were a part of the leadership for the Calvary Youth Group for a time. Later, they felt called to step out into different ministries. Josh now serves in the Men’s Ministry and Josh and Althea now lead the Young Adults Bible Study. Now they are both looking forward to seeing God’s plans for the Young Adults Bible Study, and are excited to lead, and grow alongside those who are a part of it.
